MOSH OF ASS was/is a zine that I did and which is now done by my friends Mike and Tony.....dedicated solely to reviewing demos of new punk/hardcore bands. I buy a shitload of tapes, and through touring and corresponding with people from all over the world, I've been exposed to some great demos that weren't advertised or distro'd. So I decided to post all issues of MOA....the early ones when I used to photocopy them, to the new ones which were featured in SHORT FAST AND LOUD magazine (done by SLAP A HAM until 2002, now done by SIX WEEKS RECORDS, more info at: www.sixweeksrecords.com). These are in sequence, thus the ones listed at the top of the page are the most recent....but it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that the older issues feature demos from bands that don't exist anymore....or the addresses aren't good. So PLEASE, to save yourself some heartache and write a letter to the address first. The longer the time span of the review, the higher the chances the demo is not available and quite possibly the band does not exist. If you are in a band that wants to be featured in MOA...just send in a demo to the 625 address or directly to Mike (see contact page)...but please, no sexist, homophobic, racist stuff. Also, since there are A LOT of demos reviewed we dont send out issues to bands reviewed, but you can find out about SFL issues at www.sixweeksrecords.com. MOSH OF ASS #10(sic) featured in SHORT FAST AND LOUD #10, released late 2003. MOA10 MOSH OF ASS #9(sic) featured in SHORT FAST AND LOUD #9, released early 2003. MOA9 MOSH OF ASS #6 featured in SHORT FAST AND LOUD #8, released early 2002. MOA6 New ones to follow as I work on them. |
